6 Quartets, Op.14 (Stamitz, Carl Philipp)
Scores and Parts
Quartet No.1 in C major
Helmut Mönkemeyer (1905-1992)
Mainz: Schott, Ed.4960, 1959. Plate 39939.
Parts only from the uploader's library. Not having the score with a possible clarification as to the source for this edition, it could be the Orchestral Quartet in C major wrongly - it would seem - described as op.4 n°1 which has been recorded 2 or 3 times, notably by Kurt Redel (1977?).
There is a CD from Naxos, Orchestral Quartets op.14. Interprets: NZSO Chamber Orchestra, Donald Armstrong. This here is op.14, No.1. From the cover text "The six quartets of Op. 14 are unusual in that only two of the works, Nos. 1 and 4 are specifically designated "orchestral" quartets, while Nos. 2 and 5 are described as "concertante" works, to be performed either by a quartet or, as heard on this recording, by a small chamber orchestra."
Quartet No.3 in D major
Quartet No.5 in F major
