A collection of motets for the Sanctorale Proper (fixed feast days of saints and apostles, and some special occasions)
In many references, "Pietro Giovanelli" is credited as the main contributor, but he was not a composer. He was the patron of the collection, which, according to Erin Lambert, "was unprecedented in size; it included more than 250 motets [. . . it] provides insight into activities of the Habsburg court chapels in Vienna, Graz, Innsbruck, and Prague." (Singing the Resurrection: Body, Community, and Belief in Reformation Europe, pp.168-169)
