The first edition of this autobiography was edited by the composer's widow, Nadezhda Rimskaya-Korsakova. Subsequent Russian editions incorporate corrections as well as additional supplemental materials by A.N. Rimsky-Korsakov to cover the composer's life after the end of the memoir (22 August 1906).
NOTE: The published English edition of this work is still under copyright: the translator, Judah A. Joffe, died in 1966, and the editor, Carl Van Vechten, in 1964.
