Both versions of the first setting are fragments. They have been completed by Reinhard van Hoorickx (1918-1997), who composed performing versions for many of Schubert's unfinished songs. Hoorickx's completion of the 2nd version has been recorded by Ann Murray and Graham Johnson for the Hyperion label.
