Navigation etc.

Information regarding instrumentation is very vague in the score uploaded above. The first page is marked "con strom[enti]: Tutti â 4 voci", which indicates that the instruments are colla parte with the voices. The following movements contain indications that solo voices are required, ie. "Basso Solo", "â 3 alto" etc. The final movement is marked again "con strom:". In such colla parte movements, it is possible/likely that a choir would be used, although performance with solo voices is also possible.

In the score above, an instrumental part in alto clef (preumably viola) has been left blank throughout, although a viola could take part in the work, doubling the tenor in the colla parte movements. The work is recorded in the Catalogo della Musica di Chiesa of ca.1780 and there the instrumentation is given as "à 4 Voci co’ VVni. Oboi, Viola ed Org.". A second manuscript exists which contains only parts for 2 violins. Tagged for each possibility listed in historical sources.
