Version History
This work was published originally under the title "Miniatures." It was composed first for piano solo presumably, then arranged for violin and piano, with that title. The orchestrated version of 6 of the numbers (10, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 12) is known as Cui's "Suite Miniature," Op.20, which constitutes his orchestral Suite No. 1.
