Misc. Comments
Version for Strings and Piano
- Edited by Richard Hofmann (1844-1918)
- Published from around 1900-1920 (1917 according to the plate number)
- Instrumentation
- Although the arranger states "violin cello and piano or 2 violins and piano" the pieces can also be performed by violin and piano, or by two violins, cello and piano. In addition, when violin 2 is playing, the pianist should leave out passages where the piano is doubling passages of melodic interest in the violin 2 part.
- The piano score includes one melody stave only.
