Original Title: Praktische Violinschule, Op.2 (1. Lage bis zur Einf. in d. Doppelgriffspiel. Die wichtigsten Bogenstricharten u. ihre Ausführung nach modernen Anschauungen) 1st pub 1910, reprinted until the 1950s

While many earlier schools such as Hohmann, Ries (1840s), David (1863), and Hermann (1879) start with the C major scale, this one starts with G D and A major, using the same finger spacing on all four strings. This is explained in the preface. Joachim'(1905) and Eberhardt (1906) also take this approach.
