  • Prince Igor, Opera with Prologue in 4 Acts (1869-87). Completed and partly orchestrated by Rimsky-Korsakov and Glazunov, Premiere in Saint Petersburg 1890.
  • Bogatïri (The Heroic Warriors), Opera-Farce after Viktor Alexandrovich Krylov in 5 Scenes. About a quarter of the music by Borodin, the rest based on music from Rossini, Meyerbeer, Offenbach, Serov, Verdi and others (1867). Orchestrated by E. Merten (1867), unpublished.
