General Information
| Work Title | Les goûts-réunis, ou Nouveaux concerts |
|---|---|
| Alternative Title |
| Composer | Couperin, François |
|---|---|
| Movements/Sections | 10 concerts and a Trio Sonata:
|
| First Publication | 1724 |
| Piece Style | Baroque |
| Instrumentation | 1-2 treble instruments, continuo (with exceptions noted below) |
Misc. Comments
- Continuo part is unrealized in the facsimile, and in the 10th Concert, the 'Plainte' movement specifies "pour 2 violes . . basse sans accords". The numbering of the Concerts in this work follows on from that of the Concerts Royaux (which contains the 1st to 4th Concerts).
Instrumentation
- 5th–7th Concerts, soprano instrument and continuo
- 8th Concert, all pieces are for soprano instrument and basso continuo except for the Grande Ritournéle, which is for 2 soprano instruments and continuo
- 9th Concert, soprano instrument and continuo
- 10th Concert, soprano instrument and continuo except for 'Plainte' which is for 2 violes or other unison instruments, with basse "sans accords".
- 11th Concert, soprano instrument and continuo
- 12th–13th Concert, both Concerts are for 2 violes or other unison instruments; 12th concert part 1 has figured bass numbers ad libitum, but its realisation rightly discouraged by Couperin.
- 14th Concert, soprano instrument and continuo
- 'Le Parnasse, out L'apothéose de Corelli: Grande Sonade en Trio', 2 soprano instruments and continuo
