Misc. Comments

  • According to Grove Music, this goes under three names: "Escoutez tous gentilz" "La bataille de Marignan" and "La guerre". Further, the André Danican Philidor edition, and thus, the Jolanda Scarpa edition based on the Philidor edition is called "La bataille de Janequin". Also, Janequin made both 4-voice and 5-voice versions of this.
  • For the moment, this is tagged for both the 4-voice and 5-voice versions. However, IMSLP does not have the 5-voice version, so if it is ever uploaded, and the two versions are sufficiently different, they should go on different pages.
