About the Piece

A number of years ago my boss asked me if I liked Klezmer music. I said I didn't know what it was (though after the fact I realized anyone who has ever seen "Fiddler on the Roof" knows what it is). He gave me a few CDs to listen to. Well being the composer that I am, it stirred the creative juices and this piece resulted - my spin on Klezmer. Started one, but never completed it. I reworked it a bit in 2011 to the current version here. Shame you can get through a Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate in music and never hear the word Klezmer.
