  • Mentioned as one of Gast's publications in the 1887 Handbuch der musikalischen Literatur, Volume 9 (page 184).
  • Paul Wilhelm Schmidt's output includes titles e.g. Der geschichte Jesu, also (translating another title) "A short Protestant commentary on the books of the New Testament:with general and special introductions", etc. - perhaps this might be P. Schmidt (fl. by 1887?) though of course it is also possible that the author of the text was not a 19th-century author at all, for example. - Schissel
