New Members

Project
I'm just wondering, why is Carolus listed as the head of this project? No disrespect meant, I know that he's the head of the copyright team and all (I guess that's why), but Emery did basically write the page and start the project. Anyway, as you probably know, Emery is no longer with us on IMSLP (at least currently). Should he still be listed as a project leader? Is this project going to be completed without him? I can try to chip in a little bit over Christmas break maybe, but I don't have nearly as extensive a knowledge as Carolus or Emery, so maybe I shouldn't. - Hi Lndlewis10. Thanks for the concern, but Carolus really did do most of the editing work with the copyright project. It's sometimes more time consuming and difficult to check other people's facts than you write them on your own. I really just try to help wherever I can, but he's the one making sure the information is as accurate as possible. As the head of the copyright team in general, it makes sense for Carolus to be the leader of this project. Another reason that he is the project leader is that has more experience with administration on IMSLP than I do. To answer your second question, I will try my best to finish the project in my lifetime. The Canadian page will be finished before the new year. New members?

- Hi Perlnerd666. I didn't see this message until now. I'm sorry I had to take a break from the project, it's really my fault this has stagnated. Luckily, the Canada page is now finished and we'll have to discuss how to approach doing the other countries. I'll start a discussion about that this evening. New members are welcome all the time. I think it's possible that it would be a good idea for a designated reviewer to accept any new member though, this is a project that requires a lot of attention to detail. One thing that would be a great help is if anyone could start working on the sortable copyright list. I think this would be an incredible resourceful tool, and it will also help us decide how to group countries together for copyright. For example, countries that have no copyright laws can safely be grouped together into one page. The draft page can be found here, and the first eight countries in alphabetical order are already listed. Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda need some additional information. If you would like to work on this, Perlnerd666, that would be absolutely wonderful. If not, that's OK, and I have no problem plugging away at it in the next few weeks. On second thought, before we continue writing any more pages (besides maybe the EU page), let's finish the sortable list to see where exactly we stand.

EU
The next major page to write is for the EU. After that, we will have a detailed page on every important territory affecting IMSLP. I think that this was the initial goal, but I know that we can take it a few steps further by completing the sortable list and then following through the overarching goal of this project: making copyright information available for every country.
