The following 246 Hymn Tunes are here gathered together from
various sources. They include both sets of his Original Tunes
to Popular Hymns for use in Church and Home, in addition to those
which he contributed to the Hymnary (of which he was the musical
editor), and other collections. Some of the tunes, however, now
appear for the first time....
The two Prefaces which the composer wrote to his Original Tunes
are reprinted ...."
