In the original print, two parts are given for the continuo instruments. 'Violon. Spinett. Clavicymb. Teorb.' and 'Bassus Cont.' Both parts are figured. Above the former is written 'Uber diesen Bass, seynd zu dem Ende die species gesetzet/damit Clavicymb Teorben oder Lauten können mit gespielet werden/ wo man es haben kan/ und beliebung darzu träget.'

The violoncello part in the above modern edition is not original, but simply a continuo part without figures.
