This is a RENAISSANCE LUTE version of the gallichon duo, as the gallichon string layout is nearer to renaissance tuning than the baroque lute tuning. In accordance with the notation on the original manuscript the little arc to the left of a note is a lower mordant, to the right an upper note trill and a cross an extended trill with or without a fancy turn. Gallichon players can play from a copy of the original manuscript which is clear and error free. Baroque lutes need to make their own version!
