Misc. Comments
The Music collection of the Prague National Museum has a manuscript copy transposed to G major, which includes an additional Allegro movement, apparently not by Haydn. In the Doblinger edition, this Allegro movement is included as an appendix of the score only. The Musica rara edition has a score in G major with the Allegro inserted and, transposed to F major, in the parts as well.
While Hoboken lists 1775 as composition date, H.C.Robbins Landon discovered a transcription for string quartet in Melk, Austria, which is dated 1765.
