Misc. Comments

Divertimento ex A# a Violino Primo, Violino Secundo, AltoViola, con Basso. Del Sig: Wannhall. Ex Musicalibus Josephi Cyrilli Strachota mppria

"basso" is not basso continuo in most music of the classical era (unless you see figures). Nor, contrary e.g. to the classification of a number of works of the period as having double-bass parts ("quartets" for 2 violins, viola and double-bass), does it usually mean contrabass. It was, in fact, a common term for "violoncello". (The fact that the line will go below low "E" in many of these works - impossible on a 4-string db - is usually a signal of this. Note the low "D" at the end of the trio, "basso" part, this divertimento.)
