"C.A. Challier & Co." was a late-19th-century publishing house based in Berlin, possibly founded by Carl August Challier (died 1871) (or renamed by him?) It first appears in Hofmeisters Monatsberichte as a publisher sometime around 1836 (.)
Perhaps taken over and renamed by Ernst Challier (author of the Grosses Duettencatalog &c) after C.A. Challier's death?
