Cello Sonata, Op.18 (Daffner, Hugo)
Scores and Parts
Autograph manuscript, 1909-7-7.
Looks complete, though piano score seems to require much work before it can be made performable (though fade-outs in the piano part on e.g. page 7 suggest it may not be performable at all, or only with editorial guesswork- maybe "Complete" Score is wishful thinking. Still, some of them can perhaps be filled in in parallel with similar passages elsewhere, it seems). Not surprisingly, cello part is a clean copy and far more readable.
|Work Title||Cello Sonata|

|Piece Style||Early 20th century|
Found in "BSB Mus.ms. 9614.", Munich library. End of piano ms. score seems to be dated "7.7. Mar. 8" (or rather- 7.7.9.(?) and a location?, then 8' and 39'.- ah- that makes more sense, and is more typical.)
Daffner's cello sonata is mentioned in a few places but seems not to have been previously published aside from the BSB scan.
