|Work Title||Cello Concerto|
|Alternative Title||A concerto for the violincello (!), with accompanyments for two violins, tenor, bass, flutes and horns, by Stephen Paxton|
|Year/Date of Composition||1787 ca.|
|Average Duration||16 minutes|
|Composer Time Period||Classical|
|Instrumentation||cello, orchestra (2 flutes ad lib., 2 horns in G ad lib., strings)|
Recorded on Cello Classics in 2009 with several of Paxton's sonatas. (Violincello not -that- unusual an early spelling for violoncello. And cello was a modifying adjective - not a noun - modifying "violin"/"violon" in any case - the fact that it is now often called just "cello" is an oddness.)
