The title of one early edition is 'Konzert für Violoncell und Orchester, op.44 : [1919]' suggesting the work may also have been composed as well as copyrighted and published in that year.

Performance mentioned in a July 1920 issue (page 228, 2nd of 2 July 1920 issues), Munich concerts, Neue Zeitschrift für Musik. The premiere if I read correctly. Not sure I got the date though, but further research may reveal that... - Schissel
