prolific much...

LOC seems to have 332-odd? items by him. Eric 17:41, 15 August 2011 (UTC) (edit 3-14-12 - well, ok, many of those are duplicate scans, some are parts of larger works, etc., so maybe close to 100-200 work pages in all?... but even so... more than the 15-20 workpages we have now. Good. More to do :D )

wrote an operetta Zanie (published 1887) to a libretto by Fanny Crosby; Internet Archive apparently has this in vocal score (will try to process). (And another, Conquered by Kindness (1881).) Eric 18:24, 13 March 2012 (EDT)

Should probably set up a Fanny Crosby page...

there's a couple of biographies of her, and several pseudonyms under which she apparently wrote; she was one of Danks' most regular librettists (though I was surprised to see Danks, composer of much liturgical music himself, described as a "secular composer" in a book on Fanny Crosby- but anyway...) well, keeping that information all in one place other than here may be a good thing-in-itself (to borrow from German philosophers ;^) ) (actually, I really mean something good for more utilitarian reasons, but I just wanted to say that. sorry. To be more serious, it still seems a good idea.) Eric 09:47, 15 March 2012 (EDT) (Anyhow, back to point, may go and do so soon...)
