Miscellaneous information
- Composed a piano concerto in G minor in 1875, published by Friedrich Hofmeister in 1889. This has been described as possibly the first piano concerto by an American composer? (J.D. Reitzell's dissertation calls it this, at any rate.) (The manuscript is at Johns Hopkins University Libraries along with those of quite a few others of Boise's works.)
Taught Howard Brockway, who married one of his daughters, Annabel.
