||Holograph mss, ca.1705 (GB-Lbl, R.M.20.e.5)
||According to Chrysander this air is "a version of a tune used by M.A. Cesti, A. Scarlatti, and by Handel in Agrippina, La Resurrezione, the cantata Ah crudel nel pianto mio, and in Joshua".
According to Grove Music, Handel's keyboard pieces were "all probably for harpsichord and written before 1720, unless otherwise stated", and there is nothing else stated, so this was probably harpsichord.
