The number of each wind is difficult to ascertain. The staff titles on the first page are in the singular for the winds, while the strings are in the plural. This would imply a deliberate use of the singular, i.e. one of each wind. However, the woodwinds are initially marked "solo", and are later marked "tutti", which would imply that more than one plays in unison with the first player.
