As with Raff's Op.3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 14, 17 the second versions are actually new compositions ("Nouvelles Edition, entièrement transformée" as listed in Hofmeister's catalog). See external link and the Joachim Raff Society's Catalog for more information.

Raff's Trois Morceaux Op.2 (Elégie; Romance; Valse) was first recorded (in July 2002) by Valentina Seferinova, and issued on CD on the Cahoots Classical label as their CAH 001 (subsequently taken over and remastered by Cameo-Classics, and now Nimbus Records). The second piece (Romance) is now a Trinity syllabus Grade 6 piece.
