"Ruhig, Herz und nicht verzaget" also appears as the first line of a song somewhat earlier (by S.A. Zimmermann in 1835; also later with a chorus by J. Grobe in 1841. Somewhat later (1860s) it (the text) appears in the Liederbuchs of some Masonic Lodges. No clue who "Edwin" is, however. Perhaps Kalliwoda, like other composers well and less known, wrote music to texts for lodge functions supplied by lodge members?)
