Misc. Comments
First publication by Schott noted in Hofmeister's Monatsbericht (1851), p.235. In 1854 Schott published a fourth duo for each of Alard's sets of duos (Opp.22, 23, and 27) as noted in Hofmeister's Monatsbericht (1854), p.511. The duos from Alard's three sets of duos (Opp.22, 23, 27) were eventually assigned both letter designations (A to M) and book designations (1 to 12). Op.23 would be letters E to H and books 5 to 8.
