30 Caprices for Flute Solo, Op.107 (Karg-Elert, Sigfrid)
Leipzig: Steingräber Verlag, n.d.(1918/9?). Plate 2240.
Unidentified publisher, n.d.(ca.(1990s?)). (reprinted with computer-typeset footer and header added and plate information removed. Possibly Huntsville, TX: Recital Publications?)
1918/9 publication had an English translation of the accompanying notes by R.H. Elkin. Steingräber republished this in 1967 (and 1975?). (It has had several publishers since, including Recital Publications in 1991 (reprinted 2000).)
|Work Title||30 Studies for Flute Solo|
|Alternative Title||30 Capricen : ein "Gradus ad Parnassum" der modernen Technik für Flöte allein ... : a "Gradus ad Parnassum" of the modern technique for flute solo.|
|First Publication||1918/9 ?|
|Piece Style||Early 20th century|
the several-times-removed score says studies, and so possibly may have said some of the first editions; however, the 1919 edition said caprices (which is also how it's usually referred to in "the literature").
Book on Karg-Elert gives 1918/9 for publication date, if Google Snippet view is giving accurate data. Hrm. May try to borrow a copy of the book...
