Comment should be made re "strings" in the orchestration above. As with many of Mozart's dances this uses Salzburg scoring, that is, no viola. (Even though written late in Mozart's lifetime long after he had quit Salzburg, it seems he had got in that habit? Anyhow, his earlier dances for Salzburg, and much of his other music for the regular orchestra there, omitted viola (I gather) simply because the instrument was not usually available.) - Schissel
