- All six sonatas played on a wooden flute. Each sonata is played with a head-joint made of different woods:
- Orange Rosewood
- Mexican Rosewood
- African Blackwood (Grenadilla)
- Brazilian Redwood
- Black Ironbox
- The first 4 of these were made by the Flutemaker's Guild, London; the last 2, by Skowronek himself. The first 3 sonatas used an Italian styled harpsichord, while the last 3 used a Flemish styled instrument. Realizations of the figured bass were done by Martha Goldstein. Recorded 1970.
