- Nos.1-6 are for solo violin with basso continuo
- Nos.7-9 are for 2 violins, cello, and basso continuo; the cello line, especially for nos.7 and 8 are distinct from the continuo bass line, less so with no.9.
- Nos.10 and 12 are for 2 violins with basso continuo
- No. 11 is for solo violin and basso continuo "secondo violino se piace".
