12 New English Dances, 1789 (Schall, Claus)
Free public domain sheet music from IMSLP / Petrucci Music Library
|Work Title||12 New English Dances, 1789|
|Instrumentation||2 violins, 2 woodwind (flutes, oboes and clarinets--see below for breakdown), 2 horns (in A, F, G, D, C, Bb), basso|
The woodwind part is divided between flutes, clarinets, and oboes, but they are all in C, so they could be interchanged. The breakdown is:
- no.1 says "Oboe, Flauti I and II", but the cue in the violin part says "Flauto solo"
- no.2, Oboe I and II
- no.3-4, Flute I and II
- no.5, Oboe I and II
- no.6, Flute I and II
- no.7, Oboe I and II
- no.8, Flute I and II
- no.9, Clarinet I and II in C (top of page says oboe, but in that period, most probably it would have been an oboist doubling this part)
- no.10, Flute I and II
- nos.11-12, Oboe I and II
The basso part is unrealized and has no numbers.
